A/C Repair

From a weak recharge to a failed compressor, we diagnose and repair the full A/C system — conventional, electric, and variable — on every make and model.

Full A/C System Service, Not Just a Recharge

A lot of shops will top off your refrigerant and send you on your way. We don't. If your A/C isn't performing, there's a reason — and we find it. Our diagnostic process covers the entire system: compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, receiver/drier, and all associated lines and seals.

We work on conventional belt-driven compressor systems, electric compressor systems found in hybrids and EVs, and variable displacement compressor systems common in modern vehicles. Whatever your vehicle runs, we have the training and equipment to service it correctly.

Every A/C System Type We Service

Conventional Belt-Driven

The most common setup — a belt-driven compressor powered by the engine. We service the full system including compressor clutch, belt, and all refrigerant-side components.

Electric Compressor

Found in hybrids and EVs, electric compressors run independently of the engine. Servicing these requires specific handling procedures and equipment — we're trained for it.

Variable Displacement

Variable displacement compressors adjust output based on demand, improving fuel economy. Diagnosis requires understanding how the control valve and pressure signals interact — not just checking pressures.

R-134a & R-1234yf — We Handle Both

Older vehicles use R-134a refrigerant. Newer vehicles (2017 and up on most makes) use R-1234yf, which requires dedicated equipment and certified handling. We're equipped for both — and we use BG Products A/C system conditioners to protect compressor life after every recharge.

R-134aStandard refrigerant for most pre-2017 vehicles
R-1234yfLow-GWP refrigerant required on most 2017+ vehicles
BG PN 701Compressor conditioner for R-134a systems
BG PN 702Compressor conditioner for R-1234yf & R-134a systems

What We Service

A/C Recharge

Evacuate, vacuum test, and recharge the system to factory spec with the correct refrigerant type and charge weight. Includes BG compressor conditioner.

Leak Detection & Repair

UV dye and electronic leak detection to pinpoint refrigerant leaks at seals, O-rings, hose fittings, condenser, or evaporator. We repair the leak, not just refill around it.

Call for pricing

Compressor Replacement

Compressor failure is the most common major A/C repair. We replace with quality parts, flush the system to remove debris, and recharge to spec.

Call for pricing

Condenser Replacement

Road debris and corrosion can damage the condenser. We replace and pressure-test before recharging.

Call for pricing

Evaporator Service

Evaporator leaks and contamination cause odors and poor cooling. We also offer BG Frigi-Fresh evaporator cleaning to remove mold, mildew, and contaminants.

Call for pricing

Expansion Valve / Orifice Tube

A stuck or failed expansion valve causes temperature swings and poor performance. We diagnose and replace as needed.

Call for pricing

Receiver/Drier & Accumulator

These components filter moisture and debris from the refrigerant. Replaced any time the system is opened for major repairs.

Blend Door & Actuator

Blend door failures cause one-temperature output or no airflow to certain vents. We diagnose and replace actuators and doors as needed.

Diagnosis First — Always

A/C problems are rarely just 'low on refrigerant.' Pressure readings, temperature differentials, electrical signals, and component behavior all tell a story. We read that story before we recommend any repair.

01

System pressure test

High and low side pressures tell us immediately whether the system is holding charge and how the compressor is performing.

02

Temperature differential check

We measure vent output temperature against ambient to verify actual cooling performance — not just pressure numbers.

03

Leak detection

UV dye inspection and electronic leak detection to find any refrigerant loss points before recharging.

04

Electrical & control system scan

For electric compressor and variable displacement systems, we scan for fault codes and verify control signals to the compressor and blend doors.

05

Component inspection

Visual and functional inspection of the compressor clutch, condenser, evaporator, lines, and cabin air filter path.

Diagnostic Rate

$60/hr

Billed by the minute — you only pay for the time we spend on your vehicle.

Signs Your A/C Needs Attention

Warm or lukewarm air from the vents even on max cold
A/C blows cold for a while then gradually warms up
Musty or foul odor when the A/C is running
Clicking, rattling, or grinding noise when A/C is engaged
Visible refrigerant oil stains near A/C lines or fittings
A/C compressor clutch not engaging
Weak airflow from vents despite fan running
Water dripping inside the cabin (clogged evaporator drain)

Not Sure What's Wrong?

A/C problems have a lot of causes — and guessing wrong is expensive. We diagnose the full system before recommending any repair, so you know exactly what's failing and why.

A/C Not Keeping Up?

Don't wait until it's 100° outside. Call us or schedule online — we'll diagnose it right.
